Denise Kaigler is the founder and principal of MDK Brand Management. Prior to becoming a small business owner, Denise held senior leadership roles at Reebok, adidas Group, Nintendo and Boston Scientific, where her responsibilities included corporate branding and brand management. She is also a former television journalist.
Denise leverages her personal background and decades of corporate experience to develop customized brand management initiatives and interactive workshops to help organizations and individuals achieve their business or personal goals. In 2013, Denise led the global rebranding of Boston Scientific, which included the new brand declaration, 'Advancing science for life,' written by Denise.
Denise is also an adjunct professor at Lasell College in Newton, MA and the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is committed to helping students prepare for their post-college careers.
Long committed to youth and community service, Denise has chaired numerous nonprofit fundraisers and currently sits on several boards, including Sail Boston and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. Denise is also a founding member of the Advisory Board for the Sports Leadership and Management undergraduate degree program at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She has received numerous awards and recognitions, including twice being named among the "Most Influential Black Women in Corporate America" by Savoy magazine.
In September 2017, Denise made her literary debut with Forty Dollars and a Brand: How to Overcome Challenges, Defy the Odds and Live Your Awesomeness. The book is designed to help individuals overcome challenges and define a personal brand that can support their professional goals and personal dreams. The book includes brand-building tips and activities developed by her company, as well as first-hand celebrity, personal and business stories.
